The programmes that make up the Empowerment Approach were developed collaboratively by a team of educators and psychologists. They provide a new and innovative approach to positive behaviour management. Our programmes help schools to improve behaviour and reduce exclusion, leading to better life chances.
These research-based programmes support young people, staff, parents and carers towards solution-focused thinking and success.
Staff, parents and carers learn a set of tools to improve communication and accurately identify and remove barriers to learning, leading to pupil empowerment, academic success and self-efficacy.
How children benefit
The programmes provide a range of resources to enable pupils themselves to develop understanding of their behaviour patterns and be motivated to change.
They learn to understand their cognitive selves and develop strategies to help them to regulate their emotions and to self-advocate.
